Shimm “The most beautiful makeup is passion, but cosmetics are easier to buy” as I was refreshing my spring makeup routine I recalled this quote from Yves Saint Laurent.
YSL has long been synonymous with luxury and sophistication, and their makeup line is no exception. I have had the pleasure of trying out many different makeup brands, and YSL’s makeup has always stood out to me. I really enjoy their quality and luxurious packaging. Number of their beauty products have consistently impressed me over the years. So today’s post I want to share some of the YSL products that I’ve picked to refresh my springtime makeup routine.
YSL Beauty offers a range of makeup products, from foundation and concealer to lipsticks and eyeshadows. With spring officially here, it’s the perfect time to switch up your makeup routine and celebrate the season. In today’s post I will share some of my recent YSL’s makeup addition that I have been enjoying and can help you achieve the perfect spring look.
YSL Makeup and Fragrance
One of the standout products is their foundation. Which promises to give a flawless finish with a variety of shades and finish. YSL foundation comes in three forms as All Hours which comes in cushion compact and Liquid Foundation; Touch Éclat comes as liquid foundation both gives full coverage and Nu as tint with light coverage.

Le Cushion Encre De Peau Foundation for luminous matte finish all day coverage, offered in 12 different shade and Liquid foundation has two types. Touch Éclat Le Teint Foundation for natural healthy looking luminous glow, 24 hr breathable coverage and hydration, comes in 30 different shade. Other type is their new All Hours Foundation that given 24 hrs matte full coverage, offered in 40 different shade. Nu Bare Look Tint contains 90% of skincare ingredients more of a tint that full coverage foundation that aims to deliver a skincare-infused veil of low to medium coverage, offered in 20 shade.
Coming onto their mascara, they are gorgeous looking and gives amazing results. I’ve only tried two of four of their types.
Lash clash mascara comes in two shades black and brown and I loved it so much that I bought both. The mascara wand is oversized double-conical brush to build volume and length. With this 24-hour wear formula, the mascara is smudge resistant and adds immense volume. Of four type Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils The Curler is the one mascara that has curled wand to add volume, length and curling effect.
Another product from YSL’s makeup line that I love is their lipstick line. I think I will have to write a separate post about their lipsticks. Based on the finish they come in matte, gloss, stain and balm form. Rouge Volupté Shine Lipstick formula is my personal favorite. Recently bought the Rouge Pur Couture the slim Long lasting matte lipstick in Shade 1 Rouge Extravagant. I love red lipstick which I mentioned on my earlier post and wanted to include something to bring some life into my spring makeup refresher.
They have many other products in their makeup line like eye makeup to primers, blush, setting spray, highlighter etc. and all are equally popular but I didn’t had the chance to try them yet. May be one day as I have I will share here. Over the time they have changed their beauty line and one thing I have noticed that they discontinued their nail polishes. Which I was able to buy last year without realizing they will be discontinued, otherwise I would have bought few more.
