How can you have Flawless skin?

How to get Flawless skin, Smashbox primer, correct redness

Who doesn’t want a flawless skin? But is it achievable? Practically saying, I think not. But wait, I’m not popping the bubble yet, as I was going to share how you can have nearly a flawless skin. When doing makeup do you experience redness, oiliness, exposed pores and many more issues? When using foundation do you feel I wish the application was more seamless and after a while does your face become oily? Surely I do and I think I just found the solution for all these to some extend. It is as simple to have a healthy skin and in addition to find the right Primer.

Recently I have tried some Primers from Smashbox Canada and I must say their recent launch just amazed me. I got near flawless skin with less visible pores. Laying my foundation never felt this good once I primed my skin and prepped it with these primers. So practically saying you can resolve all these issues mentioned above and these primers does fantastic job making pore appear less prominent, giving a flawless finish, while defends your skin with skincare ingredients.

The Original Photo Finish Smooth and Blur is their Smashbox original formula, which has been a cult favorite and as the brand claims Canada’s #1 Primer. Some of their newest launch not only prep your skin and gives a smooth base but what I like the most is they are vegan, cruelty free and contains skincare ingredients. Along with the original formula other Photo Finish varieties I tried are:

  • Smooth and Blur Oil Free Foundation Primer- the original & the Best Seller – a silky primer with lightweight velvety texture infused with Vitamin A and E. Instantly blurs away imperfections, prime skin and act as a barrier for skin.
  • Control Mattifying Face Primer – as the name suggest it helps mattifying skin leaving a oil free base. This mattifying primer infused with a Silkscreen Complex, Witch Hazel, Salicylic Acid, and Zinc which helps controlling oil on skin giving a matte finish. The skincare formula helps strengthening against damage from environmental aggressors like pollution and blue light.
  • Primarizer +Hydrating Face Primer – this hydrating primer infused with a Silkscreen Complex, Triple Hyaluronic Acid (HA), and Niacinamide. The formula helps nourish, balance, and defend skin against damage from environmental aggressors like pollution and blue light. I love using HA and it is great to have it in make up. It not only let skin breathe but the silky barrier perfects the skin by giving a smoothing, hydrated base. The blend of Antioxidants, Probiotic Extract, Vitamins, and Algae help against damage from environmental aggressors like pollution and blue light.
  • Correct Anti Redness Face Primer – this is a color-correcting primer. Infused with some amazing ingredients like Red Algae smooths and calms skin, Rose and Mushroom helps with the look of redness and reduce irritation. If you are dealing rosacea or in general has redness issue, discoloration this primer is your best bet.
  • Illuminate Glow Face Primer – this primer is infused with Vitamin C, Passion fruit and blend of ingredients—Antioxidants, Hyaluronic Acid, Probiotic Extract, Vitamins, and Algae. If you are looking to add glow base you will love this primer.  This formula gives a bright, healthy looking glow with a flattering shimmery base. The shimmer isn’t over powering, in fact it creates a healthy looking glow.

My experience using Smashbox Primers:

If you are wondering out of all five which one is my favorite? I would say all of them, but let me tell you why. Each serve different purpose and as you can see from the texture they all are different. Starting with the Original Photo Finish, it’s has clear gel formula and gives a smooth, blurry, velvety finish. Because its clear works well for all skin tone. The Photo Finish Primarizer and Hydrating Primer is so hydrating and feels like serum on skin. Has milky consistency and works very well on my dry skin. My skin felt soft and hydrated with a smooth finish. The Correct Anti Redness primer is great to hide my redness. Through out my life I was known to have red cheeks, I blush easily and sometimes my sensitive skin just decides to stay red and this primer with the green Algae works perfect to neutralize my red cheeks. It can also be great for someone who suffers from Rosacea. Next is the Control Mattifying Face Primer I will be honest I used to have oily skin but with age my skin is drying out and now I have more combination/ dry skin. When I use this just by itself it seems dry on my skin but when I use on my T-zone which still gets oily it turned out perfect. Anyone who has oily skin will definitely benefit using this primer for full face. It doesn’t disrupt skin’s natural pH balance and strengthen skin barrier.

Last but not lease the Illuminate Glow Face Primer. This gave a nice healthy glow on my skin. Rather just using it on my face I also used on my neck line and décolletage to add a defined toned and it works like magic. On the picture below I mixed these primers to see how they work together combined, as they work individually perfectly. On my T-zone mattifying primer, cheek bone and high point Illuminating primer, red spot and acne marks corrected with Correct Anti-redness and all over the face Hydrating primer. Waited 2-3 minutes and applied foundation from Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Liquid Foundation ( in 3c1 Dusk ) glided smoothly giving a flawless finish. I am very happy with the result and can’t wait to explore more ways to use on a regular basis. What I also liked when I am in rush and running in errands, sometimes all I need is just prime and get the smooth, healthy glowing and I am good to go as bare or minimal makeup look.
